Loriz Baz auctions helmet for Alessia Polita
Loris Baz will be one of the new star names in MotoGP next year, and ahead of his debut season, the Frenchman has donated a helmet which is being auctioned to raise money for the Alessia Polita foundation. The former WorldSBK rider Loris Baz has put up for auction one of the racing helmets he used in 2014 to help ex professional racer Alessia Polita, who is paralised from the chest down following last year’s heavy crash during a race of the Italian Championship.
Baz will ride for the NGM Forward Racing team next year alongside Stefan Bradl and Polita has only positive comments about the youngster.
Polita: “If there is a rider who never stopped helping me since I got injured it’s Baz. He has never let me down and always helped me. Many times he’s written to me to ask me how I was and how it was going. He’s a great guy. It’s the third time he’s putting up something of his for auction,” Polita stated.
The auction began on 8th December, and will continue until December 18th. You can participate here.
