We were excited to have Steph Jeavons with us at Bikers Café on the evening of June7, 2014. Dubai was the pont of call for the 38 year-old adventure rider and owner of RedMoto Adventures, who aims to travel a staggering 40,000 miles as part of a world tour. It has been her dream to ride across across all seven continents, a feat that has been completed by only four other people. And in doing so, she will also be the first British woman to accomplish this.   Her steed is a Honda CRF250, which was chosen for its reliability, ruggedness, fuel economy and light weight. Steph adds that she has rarely encountered a major problem with the bike. It has been with Steph through tough times, and is still game for more. The only things she carries are extra brake pads, tyre tubes and other minor parts.   Guests got to chat up with her about her travails, and the bike was displayed at the café as well, allowing for a lot of photo opportunities. People encountered on her journey have been supportive, she says, except on a few occasions like when her tent was stolen at one point. We were happy to present Steph with a few cool T-shirts too! Having started off from Ace Cafe in London, Steph bid adieu to the UAE on June 18, with the next leg of her incredible solo journey taking her across India.
